RPO Recruitment’s client, leading and well-established Quantity Surveying firm based in Johannesburg is seeking a Candidate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is looking to grow within a reputable firm and gain exposure to high-profile projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
- Support the senior QS team in cost planning, contract administration, and project cost control.
- Conduct measurements, valuations, and progress assessments.
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and consultants throughout all project stages.
- Prepare and review financial reports, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual requirements, and quality procedures.
Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution
- Registered as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP
- Minimum 3–5 years’ post-graduate experience on commercial, mixed-use, or similar projects
- Proficiency in WinQS, DimensionX, and MS Office
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach
