Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is currently looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team in Durban. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, your main responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate and send out invoices to customers
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • Follow up on outstanding payments, identify and resolve any discrepancies
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable status
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end closing activities

Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or a similar role
  • Experience with accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Debt collection in an FMCG environment critical
