Job Description
RPO's client is seeking a Drive Technician to repair, install, and service existing VSDs, as well as commission new general-purpose drive installations. This role is a hybrid position between site and office. Candidates will also need to interpret electrical drawings in fault-finding situations.
Responsibilities:
- Fault find and perform board-level repairs on variable speed drives
- Run testing of variable speed drives to simulate faults
- Run testing of variable speed drives after repairs are carried out
- Install and commission variable speed drives
- Keep an accurate timesheet and enter labor hours into the job management system
- Perform fault finding on equipment on-site if required
- Source parts and create quotes that include an estimation of labour
Requirements:
- Proven working experience in an electronic technician's role
- Solid understanding of electrical principles and electronic signals
- Proven ability to fault find using electrical drawings
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Hands-on experience with variable speed drives
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Well-spoken in English
- Customer service driven
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical, Electronics
- 10+ years of work experience in the electronics field
