RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Quality Manager to join their team in Heidelberg, Gauteng.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control within the meat processing or abattoir industry, ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee quality control processes across all stages of meat production

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, etc.)

• Conduct internal audits and manage external audit processes

• Implement and maintain quality management systems

• Train and supervise staff on quality standards and hygiene practices

• Manage non-conformance investigations and corrective actions

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure certification requirements are met

Requirements:

• Relevant degree or diploma in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in an abattoir or meat processing environment

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations

• Experience with audits, inspections, and quality system implementation

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
