A safety oriented mine based in the Limpopo Province has an exciting opportunity for a GCC Resident Engineer: Trackless (2.13.1). The successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of operational plans and targets by focusing on the optimization of functions, with support from other functions. Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all engineering work for the effective functioning of the department the maintenance of equipment to the required standards
- Ensuring that operating and maintenance procedures are in place and adhered to
- Contributing to the operational area’s performance, through the enhancement of functional best practices
- Responsible for the achievement of operational plans and targets by focusing on the optimization of functions, with support from other functions
- Put a planned maintenance strategy in place and ensure implementation thereof
- Support operational teams in the application and maintenance of the mechanisation and automation machinery fleets
- Plan and execute projects in the area of responsibility
- Maintenance of on and off mine infrastructure
Requirements:
- Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering at NQF Level 6
- Government Certificate of Competency for Mines and Works
- 4 Years relevant post qualification engineering experience
- Experience in infrastructure and utilities maintenance and management
- TMM Workshop management experience
- Contractor management experience
- Computer literacy
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license
