A FMCG company in the beverage sector is looking for an experienced Production Consultant with strong R&D expertise for a short-term consultancy. The company is launching a new fresh juice product line and requires strategic guidance on product formulation, equipment selection, and technical setup. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of the juice production landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on juice product formulation and R&D strategy, including development of SKUs such as 100% juices, blends, and pulp-based drinks

• Recommend appropriate processing and production machinery (e.g., blenders, pasteurizers, fillers, cappers, labelling machines)

• Provide input into the factory setup, blueprint, and overall operational plan

• Contribute technical content for inclusion in the company’s business plan

• Support the technical direction for establishing a commercially viable juice production line

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in the juice manufacturing industry

• Strong background in R&D, process design, and technical operations

• In-depth knowledge of juice processing methods such as cold pressing, pasteurization, and automated filling
  

• Based in South Africa, with a solid grasp of local manufacturing standards, supply chains, and production practices

• Comfortable with remote work and flexible consulting engagements (can be done alongside current employment)
