RPO Recruitment, a well-established recruitment agency, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planner to join a leading retail company.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating merchandise plans and optimizing inventory levels to drive sales and maximize profitability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and execution of merchandise strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create merchandise plans based on sales forecasts, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Analyze historical data and customer insights to determine product assortments and quantities.
  • Collaborate with buying and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and pricing tactics.
  • Monitor sales performance and inventory levels, making real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide input on merchandise strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Planner in the retail industry.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in merchandise planning software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of retail math, merchandising principles, and market trends.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
