A reputable glass processing company is looking for an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in managing large-scale manufacturing operations to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supervising production teams, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They should demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of modern manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise production teams to ensure smooth shift operations

• Coordinate resources to meet production targets and delivery timelines

• Oversee health, safety, and quality compliance on the production floor

• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements

• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management for team members

• Conduct shift handovers, production meetings, and reporting as required

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow

• Support the implementation of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements:

• Relevant diploma or degree in production, operations, or industrial management

• Proven experience in a production supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards applicable to industrial settings

• Effective leadership and communication skills

• Familiarity with modern production systems and performance tracking tools

• Willing to relocate and available to start within a negotiable timeframe
