RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a Warehouse Manager specialized in the Chemicals industry to join our client's team. In this role, you will oversee the effective management of warehouse operations, ensuring that all processes meet safety and regulatory standards unique to the handling and storage of chemicals. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management within the chemicals sector and a commitment to maintaining high safety and efficiency standards.


Responsibilities

  • Manage overall warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping chemical products
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies specific to the chemicals industry
  • Develop and implement warehouse processes and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a safety-focused culture
  • Monitor inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and traceability
  • Coordinate with production and procurement teams to align warehouse operations with business needs
  • Maintain accurate records of all warehouse transactions and activities
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum operational efficiency
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Ensure that all warehouse equipment is properly maintained and that safety inspections are conducted regularly

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management within the chemicals industry or related field
  • Strong understanding of chemical safety regulations and best practices in chemical handling and storage
  • Proven experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Certifications in hazardous materials management or OSHA regulations are a plus
