RPO's client is actively seeking a skilled and versatile Production Manager to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a premium, design-led outdoor products company that is experiencing high growth. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and managerial skills, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to high standards. This is a full-time, onsite position.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production planning and control
  • Maintain effective stock control procedures
  • Manage employee performance and conduct
  • Implement and maintain factory organisation using 5S principles
  • Lead problem-solving efforts within production processes
  • Monitor and improve Standard Minute Values (SMVs)
  • Ensure accurate ERP system updates related to production
  • Enforce health & safety and quality compliance
  • Compile and review daily and monthly production reports

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • National Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar production management role
  • Experience in the FMCG sector is essential
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational and leadership abilities
  • Assertive and detail-oriented with high personal standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work shifts when required
