RPO's client is actively seeking a skilled and versatile Production Manager to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a premium, design-led outdoor products company that is experiencing high growth. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and managerial skills, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to high standards. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee production planning and control
- Maintain effective stock control procedures
- Manage employee performance and conduct
- Implement and maintain factory organisation using 5S principles
- Lead problem-solving efforts within production processes
- Monitor and improve Standard Minute Values (SMVs)
- Ensure accurate ERP system updates related to production
- Enforce health & safety and quality compliance
- Compile and review daily and monthly production reports
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar production management role
- Experience in the FMCG sector is essential
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities
- Assertive and detail-oriented with high personal standards
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to work shifts when required
