Job Description
A leading manufacturer of electrical communication and data storage equipment in Edenvale is seeking a meticulous and well-organised Stores Controller to join their operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate stock control, efficient inventory processes, and seamless supply to production, supporting the smooth running of a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily stock control processes and ensure accurate documentation of all goods received and issued.
- Maintain ERP systems (Sage or Addpac) with up-to-date and reliable stock data.
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight shortages or excesses to avoid production delays.
- Utilise ERP software to track, manage, and report on stock movements.
- Generate and analyse reports on stock variances to support decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of stores processes and system efficiency.
- Support the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods in line with company procedures.
- Ensure correct labelling, storage conditions, and traceability of all materials.
- Assist production teams with timely supply of components to maintain workflow.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and compliance regulations for stock management.
- Conduct routine stock checks and audits to ensure integrity of inventory.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised stores environment at all times.
- Liaise with suppliers, warehouse, and production staff to resolve stock issues.
- Communicate clearly in both Afrikaans and English to ensure smooth coordination across teams.
- Provide professional and efficient support to colleagues and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Stores Controller or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage or Addpac advantageous).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English, both written and spoken.
- Well-presented with exceptional attention to detail.
