Job Description
RPO Recruitment’s client in the Beverage Manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Operations Manager to join their team in the Western Cape.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting and forecasting in line with the company’s 2-year sales plan, identifying risks and critical Capex requirements for plans to be achieved.
- Developing a sequenced strategy to achieve the above plan.
- Creating weekly and monthly effective operations communication plans to the business.
- Seamlessly integrate larger supply chain plans into weekly/monthly procurement, production, and packaging plan – accounting for weekly capacities, availability of materials as well as different lead times based on sales forecasts.
- Manage all production, procurement, quality control, and all the relevant reporting and stakeholder management in line with stakeholder requirements.
- Effective procurement of all materials, on time, in the right quantities, and at the right price.
- Successfully planning all operational requirements together with the sales and logistics team to deliver on the sales plan.
- Liaising with third party operational stakeholders to ensure we deliver on the company created future.
- Reporting and tracking of production records for excise payments.
- Effectively manage cost of production year on year for all products through active engagement with all suppliers.
- Proactive supplier management and evaluation and identifying improvement opportunities for the company.
- Managing the yearly supplier negotiations process, ensuring cost of sales remain within budget.
- Successfully integrate all innovation projects and new product development into the operations and distribution frameworks.
- Facilitate recipe development for all company products including the methods.
- Responsible for operational outputs, efficiency, and waste targets.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ensure all other certification requirements are kept up to date.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager /Supply Chain Manager / Production Manager / Cost Accountant or similar role. Preferably with both non-alcoholic and alcoholic FMCG experience.
- Degree / Diploma in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Experience in costing, budgeting and forecasting.
