Job Title: Instrumentation Technician - Mining Industry

Location: Northern Cape

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join their team in the mining industry in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our mining operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain various instrumentation devices and control systems in the mining plant.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in instrumentation equipment to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous operation of the plant.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and implement improvements to the instrumentation systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including maintenance records and equipment manuals.


Requirements:
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Process Instrumentation).
  • Instrumentation Technician Trade Test Certificate
  • At least 4 years' experience as an Instrument Technician within the Mining Industry
  • Solid knowledge of instrumentation principles and systems, including PLCs, DCS, and other control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Valid Drivers License
