RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading civil construction company in Cape Town is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects with a well-established and reputable contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys, setting out, and levelling for civil construction projects
- Interpret drawings and ensure accurate implementation on site
- Perform as-built surveys and maintain accurate survey records
- Work closely with engineers, site agents, and foremen to ensure alignment with design specifications
- Monitor and verify levels, alignments, and positions of structures
- Ensure all survey equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Assist with resolving site discrepancies and technical queries
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or similar qualification
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Civil Surveyor within the construction industry
- Proven experience on civil infrastructure projects (roads, earthworks, stormwater, pipelines, or structures)
- Proficiency in survey equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and relevant software (e.g. Civil 3D)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and site procedures
- Valid driver’s license
