- Plan daily production at a minimum horizon of 21 days and weekly plans at rolling 12 weeks according to agreed plan and production rules which will be uploaded weekly to the KMR system used for procurement purposes
- Ensure timeous communication with the applicable factory when additional shifts/less shifts are required based on current demand trend and production requirement
- Ensure space bottlenecks are identified and communicated for further investigations and analysis to ensure sufficient space in the network are determined in advance
- Analyse batch sizes vs. shelf-life requirement and impact the predetermined batch size will have on supply of the product in the network (warehouse space, Freshness of stock, obsolete stock)
- Take ownership of channel to ensure sufficient and optimal stock levels are maintained by ensuring constant and timeous communication with the deployment team regarding product group/SKU priorities
- Apply the constraint/factors of e.g., long lead times, forecast accuracy, batch constraints, warehouse constraints, shelf life, network constraint/design in production planning to ensure stocks are optimised with the best possible trade off solution
- Determine factors contributing to constant short, dated stock in the supply channel, and the corrective action needed to reduce/avoid the constant obsolete stock
- Communicate potential short, dated stock problems to the Demand team and ensure stock is moved to a location/s as required for additional sales to limit the short, dated stock/write off
- Consolidate the CDC demand in optimal factory planning while taking into consideration available capacity in the network and daily/weekly/monthly CDC demand and actual supply
- Ensure constant supply of a product group/SKU'S in the channel by timeous communication and request for early releases/grading if this should have an impact on supply
- Optimise the supply network based on guidelines, and determine the most cost-effective supply channel, factory, route
- Ensure stock is replenished from most optimal factory location (where similar and non-similar factories are packing) at optimal costs when trade-offs need to be made regarding additional supply locations while freshness of stock and the OFR % are maintained
- Define and revise buffer levels by determining risk of changes in demand or supply by SKU/prod group to ensure target OFR% and product freshness
- Ensure accurate information are available to optimise rough cut capacity plans with impact of constraints for best possible inputs to the S & OP process
- Identify bottlenecks, processes, constraints that has an impact on current supply and possible solutions/corrective measures
- Ensure daily reporting at summary level of channel information (Obsolete stock, constraints, impact of supply disruption, potential supply problems) by monitoring, identifying, and implementing corrective measures in the supply channel
- Ensure monthly consolidated reporting of Channel information in summary format (Obsolete stock, supply disruption and impact on OFR%, channel costs and potential savings)
