Job Description

RPO Recruitment’s client in the food manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to join their team in Olifantsfontein, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and maintain the replenishment schedule and analyse the schedule by doing “what if” scenarios and report on progress.
  • Highlight and identify resource constraints and recommend processes to eliminate resource constraints.
  • Identify and highlight critical material shortages and products which are at risk.
  • Compare net requirements against scheduled receipts in monthly periods using extracts from MPS.
  • Compare actual vs forecasted volumes and assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Import of material and process of documentation.
  • Interact and problem solve all daily customer queries and resolve with the necessary sense of urgency.
  • Track shipments and report daily on timelines
  • Manage Export and Import documentation.
  • Permit applications.
  • Assist QA and other departments with CoA’s and other queries.
  • Managing Raw Material documentation, international shipments, and Customs.
  • Continuously review and improve relevant system parameters, such as safety stocks, re-order points and lot sizes across multiple production sites, also keeping MRP master data correct and up to date.
  • To control the master data settings related to MRP in BPCS to optimize the stock levels.
  • To achieve a constant flow of raw materials to satisfy the production requirements.
  • To liaise with purchasing department to improve the on-time delivery from our vendors and the quality control to identify substandard vendors.
  • To set up and run daily, weekly, and monthly control reports.
  • Continuous improvement of all relevant planning processes
  • To anticipate potential shortages or excesses, monitor and evaluate operating rhythms and production plans.
  • Based on your continuous analyses, you integrate and execute best supply chain practices to improve external and internal material flow.
  • Continuous learning and benchmarking with the industry should enable you to develop and implement highest Supply Chain standards at the company.
  • Your standard working agenda includes regular presentations to Senior management related to overall Supply Chain performance, whilst building and driving applicable action plans. 


Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma / Degree in in Supply Chain/Logistics
  • CPIM / CSCA will be an advantage
  • Computer literate – MS Office – Advanced Excel Skills
  • Relevant experience in Supply Chain
  • 3 years operational experience in a FMCG production environment
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of MRP / MPS logic
  • Good Excel skills
  • Good planning, time management, and analytical skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good understanding of business processes and systems
  • Consistent application of operational priorities
  • Proactive and energetic with high level of attention to detail/accuracy
  • Logical thinking & information seeking skills
  • Self-starter with ability to use initiative
  • Organizational commitment and integrity
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
