RPO's client is actively seeking a skilled Manufacturing Supply Chain Manager to join our client in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to optimize manufacturing operations, lead a dynamic team, and drive end-to-end supply chain excellence. Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules to align with demand forecasts and optimize capacity.
- Lead procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Oversee inventory control, minimizing waste while preventing stockouts or overstocking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, projects, export) to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
- Analyze KPIs and generate reports to support data-driven decision-making for senior management.
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of managerial experience in manufacturing supply chain (scheduling, procurement, inventory).
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SYSPRO).
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of JIT, Kanban, and lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
