Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee our client's silo depot operations. The Silo Depot Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the depot, including coordinating the receipt and storage of grain, overseeing maintenance and repair of silos and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and managing a team of depot employees.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all depot operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing grain
- Develop and implement depot maintenance and repair schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Coordinate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of grain
- Supervise depot employees and ensure their training and development
- Monitor and report on depot performance metrics
- Develop and implement strategies to improve depot efficiency and profitability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in grain storage and distribution
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to grain storage
- Proven track record of managing a team and achieving operational goals
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
