RPO's client is actively seeking an experienced Drives and PLC Sales Representative to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional with a background in variable speed drives (VSDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial automation.
This is a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Grow the turnover of VSD and PLC sales.
- Identify new opportunities and customers in the VSD and PLC market.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Act as the primary contact for technical support on VSD and PLC products.
- Educate customers on the benefits of the company’s VSD and PLC solutions.
- Conduct sales calls independently or with other representatives to meet targets.
- Develop business opportunities through prospecting and marketing efforts.
- Follow up on quotes and provide customer feedback to management.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with company targets.
- Provide monthly sales reports on progress and goals.
- Travel locally to develop new business and service existing accounts.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in sales related to VSDs, PLCs, or industrial automation.
- Knowledge of:
- Variable frequency drives and PLCs.
- Modbus and other communication protocols.
- Basic electrical requirements for VSDs.
- CRM systems and sales processes.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, be detail-oriented, and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Sales qualifications or training would be an advantage.
