A leading plastic manufacturing company based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to oversee the implementation and maintenance of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality systems across the facility. - Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation and company requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Promote employee awareness and training on SHEQ matters to enhance safety culture across all departments.
- Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are achieved.
- Collaborate with management and production teams to support safe and efficient operations.
- Liaise with external auditors, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a SHEQ management role within a manufacturing environment (glass, chemical, or industrial sector preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 systems.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and environmental legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
