Job Title: Aircon Technician

Location: Blackheath, Cape Town

A leading rentals company is looking for an experienced Aircon Technician with strong experience in HVAC systems to join their team in Blackheath, Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician to manage, maintain, and repair air-conditioner units to ensure maximum equipment life expectancy and reduce equipment failures. Responsibilities:

• Schedule and perform proactive servicing of air-conditioners.
• Diagnose and repair faulty air-conditioners.
• Manage air-conditioner stock levels and ensure proper storage.
• Perform pre-delivery and return inspections and complete the necessary documentation.
• Conduct scheduled stock counts.
• Ensure that the air-conditioner workshop and storage areas are kept tidy and organized.
• Comply with all statutory regulations and organizational health and safety codes.
• Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Carry out inspections to ensure units are transported, moved, and handled correctly and safely.
• Assist the maintenance team with general maintenance and refurbishment.

Requirements:

• Aircon Technician Qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, safety procedures, and relevant electrical codes.
• Experience diagnosing electrical system malfunctions and failures.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently and under pressure.
