Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor with a strong portfolio of major infrastructure projects, is seeking an exceptional Quantity Surveyor for Johannesburg, with a proven track record in roads projects. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can deliver with precision, and is confident in managing complex cost control systems.

 

Requirements

  • Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Expert-level proficiency in CCS cost control software.
  • Outstanding mathematical ability with high attention to detail.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working specifically on roads projects (SANRAL).
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, claims, and cost management principles.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all costs relating to roads and highways projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.
  • Deliver accurate, detailed cost planning and forecasting using CCS.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and variations, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, claims, and procurement schedules.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure cost efficiency and contractual compliance.
