Job Title: Shift Supervisor - Mining Industry

Location: Northern Cape

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join their mining operation in the Northern Cape. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a designated shift and ensuring that production targets are met safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining personnel on a designated shift
  • Monitor production levels and quality standards to ensure targets are met
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Train and mentor mining personnel to improve performance and promote a positive working environment
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and managers to optimize production schedules and resolve any issues that may arise


Essential Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Opencast Blasting Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in open cast mining environment
  • At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Must reside in the Northern Cape
  • Extensive knowledge of mining operations and processes, including drilling, blasting, and material handling
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the mining industry
