A well-established FMCG manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee production operations at their state-of-the-art facility in La Mercy, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven and hands-on leader to manage manufacturing processes, drive operational excellence, and ensure that production targets are met in alignment with quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement production plans, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve departmental and company objectives.
  • Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow across departments.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage and control production costs, materials usage, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Production/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably within the FMCG or food production sector.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build high-performing teams.
  • Proven knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality control systems.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
