A leading FMCG company is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager with extensive expertise in production management and operational excellence to join their team in La Mercy, KwaZulu-Natal.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, maintenance, and quality management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily production operations, ensuring targets for quality, efficiency, and safety are met.

• Manage and develop a large production team, including managers, team leaders, and operators.

• Implement operational improvements, line balancing, and scheduling to enhance throughput and minimize downtime.

• Maintain compliance with quality, food safety, and environmental standards such as HACCP, ISO, and GMPs.

• Oversee maintenance and reliability programs to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, R&D, and supply chain to support product development and production planning.

• Manage budgets, cost control, and financial performance for the production facility.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Kaizen, and TPM projects.

• Handle labour relations, union interactions, and team performance management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in related field.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing operations, including managerial roles.

• Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills.

• Proven experience in production planning, quality control, and operational efficiency improvements.

• Knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS), predictive maintenance, and capital project management.

• Familiarity with food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental health & safety practices.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
