A growing industrial refrigeration company is looking for an experienced Junior Refrigerator Assistant with hands-on experience in ammonia systems and safe handling of refrigeration equipment to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will support daily refrigeration operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment

• Handle ammonia systems safely in line with company procedures

• Support senior technicians with troubleshooting and repairs

• Monitor and report on refrigeration system performance

• Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety protocols

Requirements:

• CAT A driver’s license

• Previous experience working with ammonia-based refrigeration systems

• Basic understanding of refrigeration principles and safety procedures

• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

• Physically fit to perform manual tasks associated with refrigeration maintenance
