Job Description
We are seeking a SACPCMP Registered Health & Safety Officer to join a leading construction organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to take responsibility for ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across designated construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
- BSc/BA in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- SACPCMP Registration (essential).
- Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with the OSHACT and other legislation.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and accident/incident investigations.
- Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to on-site staff.
- Review and approve subcontractor HSE files.
- Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly HSE reports/statistics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety Officer role within construction.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and procedures.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials, safe practices, and safety management systems.
- Excellent report writing, data analysis, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
