Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is a FMCG company based in Gauteng and is seeking the expertise of an experienced Supply Planner to join their team of professionals.


Responsibilities:

  • Optimize the supply network based on predetermined, most cost-effective supply channel, factory, route
  • Ensure stock are replenished from most optimal factory location (where similar and non-similar factories are packing) at optimal costs when trade-offs need to be made regarding additional supply locations while freshness of stock and the OFR% are maintained
  • Ensure Container arrival are optimized and planned of peak planning
  • Define and revise buffer levels by determining risk of changes in demand or supply by SKU/prod group to ensure target OFR% and product freshness
  • Analyze the total supply chain function to ensure target OFR % are met and maintained
  • Identify and facilitate mitigating actions where OFR% deviations occurred in the supply chain and pathway forward
  • Planning optimal stock levels for semi/finished goods as well as on Principal stock to ensure predefined customer service levels are on target
  • Apply the constraints/factors of (long lead times, forecast accuracy, minimum order quantity, whs constraints, shelf life, network constraints/design) in principal planning to ensure stocks are optimized with the best possible trade off solution
  • Communicate potential short, dated stock problems to the Demand team and ensure stock is moved to a location/s as require for additional sales to limit the short, dated stock/write offs
  • Ensure constant supply of a product group/SKU'S in the channel by timeous communication and request by means of add on orders placed on Principal if this should have an impact on supply
  • Ensure daily reporting at summary level of channel information (Obsolete stock, constraints, impact of supply disruption, potential supply problems) by monitoring, identifying, and implementing corrective measures in the supply channel
  • Identify bottlenecks, processes, constraints that has an impaction current supply and possible solutions/corrective measures
  • Ensure transactional data timings
  • Act as link between the Planning development team and the Supply planning team
  • Monitor and take responsibility of masters, updating of master’s data

 

Requirements:

  • Degree
  • Business English: Fluent
  • Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques, and processes at the required level
  • Computer literacy (Advanced)
