A well-established travel services company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at their Parow branch. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operational activities ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage and develop operations staff to meet company goals and performance standards.
  • Implement and monitor operational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment and seamless workflow.
  • Analyze operational data and reports to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in operations management.
  • 3–5 years of experience in all facets of passenger transportation systems.
  • Knowledge of mainframe computer software related to record keeping. Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Tracker or operational/logistics management programs is preferred.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and inter-company memos/outside correspondence.
  • 2–3 years of accounting, planning, analytical, and/or reporting experience in roles with increasing responsibility is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an operational leadership role, preferably within service or travel-related industries.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
  • Proficient in operational management software and MS Office.
  • Commitment to high standards of service and safety.
