A high-growth telecommunications and retail company is looking for an experienced Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead national operations, drive commercial performance, and ensure profitability across retail, direct sales, and digital channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full operational and commercial P&L across multiple business channels

  • Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong margin and cost discipline

  • Manage a national retail store network, ensuring consistent operational standards

  • Lead performance across Direct Sales, prepaid, postpaid, and fibre channels

  • Integrate and optimise digital, call centre, and B2B operational functions

  • Implement operational dashboards, reporting structures, and forecasting frameworks

  • Manage payroll ratios, commissions, and cost-to-income performance metrics

  • Oversee inventory control, stock optimisation, and shrinkage prevention

Requirements:

  • 10–15 years of senior leadership experience in retail or commercial operations

  • Proven experience managing multi-site retail environments

  • Demonstrated ownership of P&L with strong EBITDA accountability

  • Experience within telecommunications, retail, or high-volume consumer sectors

  • Strong financial acumen including margin management and working capital control
