A leading manufacturing company is seeking a highly organised and results-driven Warehouse & Assistant Logistics Operations Manager based in Clayville. This role offers the opportunity to oversee all aspects of procurement, supply chain, and warehouse management, ensuring operational efficiency and accurate inventory control across raw materials, consumables, and glass stock.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions, ensuring accurate pricing and supplier compliance.
- Maintain vendor databases, track deliveries, and coordinate with finance for payments.
- Monitor stock levels, manage buffer stock, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Liaise with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and optimize supply processes.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution.
- Analyse supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions and collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives in supply chain operations while ensuring system integrity.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts and full stock audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and monitor stock aging.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound stock movements and optimize warehouse layout.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, handling, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management review and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records of glass bottles and perform cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate inbound/outbound movements per customer and SKU specifications.
- Resolve discrepancies, monitor slow-moving stock, and optimize storage and retrieval.
- Prepare reconciliation reports per customer and order for record verification.
- Enforce safety protocols and compliance with warehouse regulations.
- Supervise warehouse and logistics staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate across procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless stock replenishment.
- Uphold compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations management.
Strong understanding of inventory control, procurement, and warehouse management systems.
Experience managing raw materials, consumables, and glass stock in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in ERP software (Sage/Addpac advantageous) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills in English; ability to liaise with internal teams and customers.
