Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and SACPCMP Registered Construction Manager to oversee complex construction projects from an operational perspective. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional with strong technical knowledge, people management skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across projects.
- Manage budgets, cost controls, risk management, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tender, procurement, and financial processes.
- Foster strong collaboration with project teams, particularly Quantity Surveyors, to ensure operational and financial success.
- Provide effective leadership, guidance, and mentorship to site staff.
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
- National Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or equivalent.
- Formal qualification in Health, Safety & Environment Management.
- SACPCMP Professional Registration as a Construction Manager (essential).
- 10–15 years’ experience in the built environment, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale construction projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction site operations, HSE requirements, and project controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering/architectural drawings.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
