Job Description
RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Debt Recovery Specialist to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful candidate will support Credit Risk Advisors by improving customer cash flow and minimizing risk through proactive debt recovery strategies. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage debt collection processes efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve debt collection targets through proactive recovery strategies.
- Draft legal documents related to debt recovery.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide timely updates on debt collection status.
- Prepare and submit accurate internal and external reports.
- Utilize M-Files for tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Assess debt collection cases, identify risks, and communicate with clients regarding documentation requirements.
- Contact debtors, establish repayment agreements, and monitor adherence to payment schedules.
- Manage industry stop listings and legal handovers when necessary.
- Collaborate with attorneys, credit insurers, and other stakeholders for legal collections.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies and deadlines related to debt collection.
Requirements:
- NQF qualification, diploma, or degree is advantageous.
- 1-3 years of experience in debt collection or credit control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and conflict-handling abilities.
- High attention to detail and resilience in a demanding role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and M-Files.
