Job Description

Our client, in Midrand is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Programmer (Project Planner/Scheduler) to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining detailed construction project schedules to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

  

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, CCS Candy, Microsoft Project, and ITIS.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, and GCC contract scheduling standards.
  • Proven experience in delay analysis, EOT claims, and risk assessments.

 

  • Project Scheduling & Program Development
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, CCS Candy, and Microsoft Project.
  • Establish and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), integrating cost and resource management.
  • Ensure schedules align with contractual milestones and deliverables across FIDIC, NEC, or GCC frameworks.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor site progress and update project programs weekly/monthly using actual data.
  • Perform critical path analysis, float calculations, and risk identification.
  • Generate professional reports, dashboards, and Earned Value Analysis (EVA) for stakeholders.
