A leading manufacturing company based in Epping, Western Cape is seeking a qualified SHEQ Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong background in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving SHEQ systems to ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and ISO standards. Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain and monitor ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems, including document control and audit readiness.
- Provide SHEQ training and awareness sessions to employees at all levels.
- Prepare and submit SHEQ reports, statistics, and documentation as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Liaise with external auditors, service providers, and regulatory bodies when required.
- Minimum of Matric (Grade 12) passed.
- SAMTRAC / NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent SHE certification.
- A related degree or currently pursuing a related degree (NQF 7).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a SHEQ environment, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards (implementation and auditing).
- Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
