RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading construction company in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their successful and growing team in driving the success of their developments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for construction projects.
  • Conduct cost control and value engineering throughout project lifecycle.
  • Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation, and contract documentation.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Monitor project expenditure and provide accurate financial reporting to management.
  • Advise on contractual matters, variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure cost-effective solutions.

 

Requirements:

  • BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying, or National Diploma in Building.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a construction or property development environment.
  • Proven track record in managing project costs and contracts.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant QS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
