RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading construction company in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their successful and growing team in driving the success of their developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for construction projects.
- Conduct cost control and value engineering throughout project lifecycle.
- Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation, and contract documentation.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Monitor project expenditure and provide accurate financial reporting to management.
- Advise on contractual matters, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Requirements:
- BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying, or National Diploma in Building.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a construction or property development environment.
- Proven track record in managing project costs and contracts.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in relevant QS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
