RPO Recruitment’s client is actively seeking a skilled Buyer to join their dynamic team based in Midrand. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented procurement professional to play a key role in the company’s supply chain operations. Responsibilities

  • Process daily orders and manage relevant ordering systems
  • Complete procurement and warehouse procedures in a timely manner
  • Manage purchase orders and sales queries, expedite orders, and track deliveries
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding shipping dates and potential delays
  • Monitor the status of purchase orders, forecasts, and stock requisitions
  • Resolve issues related to PO/invoice discrepancies, returns, and supplier quality problems
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal departments
  • Fulfill stock requests, monitor outstanding bookings, and manage buy-outs within SLA
  • Escalate supplier performance issues when necessary and ensure timely reporting
  • Maintain and update master data and pricing on relevant systems (including promotional pricing)
  • Ensure website content (pricing, stock, images) aligns with procurement records
  • Assist with stock and range monitoring, risk management for out-of-stocks, and ad hoc reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and procurement-related projects

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (advantageous)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a procurement or buying role
  • Valid Code EC driver’s license
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills for dealing with internal teams and suppliers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and manage priorities effectively
  • Willingness to work long hours or after-hours as required (must have own transport)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skill
