Position: Junior Site Agent
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Site Agent in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering or construction management, with a keen interest in site management and project coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Site Agent in overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met
- Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify any potential issues
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and progress photos
- Providing support in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
- Assisting with the procurement of materials and equipment as needed
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and own transportation
