A reputable cold storage company is looking for an experienced Junior Maintenance Assistant with a background in racking, shelving, and general maintenance to join their team in Midrand, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to grow within a technical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities

• Support installation and upkeep of racking and shelving systems

• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and report findings

• Perform general handyman and maintenance duties as required

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all work

• Assist senior maintenance staff with technical projects and repairs

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report completed tasks

Requirements:

• Previous experience in maintenance, racking, and shelving

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks

• No ammonia experience required
