Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for an Electronic Technician to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing electronic and communication systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, and maintain electronic and communication equipment

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with communication technologies

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency

  • Install, configure, and integrate communication hardware and software

  • Set up and test wired and wireless communication systems

  • Provide technical support to staff and clients, responding to service requests

  • Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with safety standards

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and vendors on system upgrades

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Electronic Engineering, Communication Technology, or Telecommunications

  • At least two years of experience in electronic and communication systems (preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with telecommunications equipment, networking hardware, and diagnostic tools

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical schematics

  • Excellent communication skills, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently or in a team
