RPO Recruitment’s client in the Mining Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Technical Metallurgist in Krugersdorp, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in ensuring that Safety, health and environment are complied with in the plant
• Implementation of the technical standards and procedures in the operations
• Ensure that technical standards are met and maintained in the operations
• Audit compliance to “specifications/parameters” and liaise with plant personnel
• Identify ongoing potential areas for plant process improvement
• Ongoing technical support to plant production team to achieve operational goals
• Provide detailed analyses of process control/plant performance relationships
• Co-ordinate metal accounting, accuracy, reporting, and metal monitoring
• Monitor production performance metrics and analyse data to identify trends and opportunity for process optimization.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify areas of improvement in production processes and develop solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist to ensure a stable and sustainable plant performance within the metallurgical plant

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• B Eng Degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering
• At least 5 years extensive post qualification experience in technical management of extractive metallurgy in a gold process environment
