RPO's client is seeking a young, vibrant, and experienced Tax Compliance Administrator for their Cape Town office. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of solid tax compliance experience and be a member of SAIT. This role is perfect for a service/results-driven individual with a natural flair for building lasting relationships with both external and internal clients. The successful candidate will be able to manage their own desk, demonstrate high attention to detail, and handle stress effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and calculate Provisional and Income tax returns, ensuring they are reviewed and filed according to required deadlines.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in tax assessments.
  • Process and administer disputes related to tax matters.
  • Submit Dividends tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Complete assessment verifications and prepare assets and liability schedules.
  • Draft and send client payment letters promptly.
  • Accurately prepare applications for tax clearance according to agreed deadlines.
  • Ensure tax deadlines are met and maintain tax records in compliance with legislation.
  • Complete statutory registrations for clients, including income tax, customs, PAYE, SDL, UIF, and VAT.
  • Respond courteously and promptly to SARS queries, providing the necessary information.
  • Accurately complete timesheets and ensure fees are processed on time.

Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate and relevant degree, diploma, or certificate in Taxation.
  • Registered Tax Technician with SAIT.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a tax administrator, managing a client base of 350+ clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as Greatsoft, SARS E-filing, Easyfile, ROE On-line, Financial Accounting, Statutory Reporting and Returns, Dispute Resolution, and Tax Legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, resilience, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a customer-oriented approach and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
