A reputable engineering company is looking for an experienced Project Accountant with strong financial reporting and project cost control skills to support the financial management of multiple projects. The role focuses on budget monitoring, cost analysis, compliance, and collaboration with project and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely project financials.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control project budgets in line with approved scope and financial allocations

• Capture and allocate sub-consultant invoices accurately within the ERP system

• Prepare, maintain, and analyse detailed project cost reports

• Liaise with project managers and senior stakeholders to track and manage project expenditure

• Ensure all project-related expenses are properly documented and compliant with company policies and regulations

• Perform regular project reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Assist with project audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards

• Support cost-benefit analysis and financial forecasting for current and future projects

• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and respond to project-related financial queries

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting

• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Deltek, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills

• Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
