RPO's client is actively seeking a skilled Financial Accountant with construction industry experience to join their team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and goals.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Monitor and manage financial accounting, reporting, and cash flow.
- Forecast costs, revenues, and project/contract financials.
- Manage tax compliance and ensure tax efficiency.
- Analyze variances and implement cost-reduction strategies.
- Assist leadership with budgeting and financial decision-making.
- Oversee internal audits and coordinate external audits.
- Mentor and develop the finance team.
- Maintain banking relationships and ensure sufficient operational funds.

Requirements:

- Must reside in Cape Town and be a South African citizen.
- Relevant Degree in Finance/Accounting.
- 5+ years' financial experience in the construction industry.
- Proficient in Buildsmart and MS Office.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written).
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
