Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is a great mining company in Limpopo, which is seeking the expertise of an Industrial Relations Superintendent to join their team in Steelpoort.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess level of issue based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, and processes
  • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, and minimum requirements)
  • Manage SHEQ compliance within the Section through effective use of the Toolbox
  • Utilize the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
  • Compile and conduct IR/Labour Law/Disciplinary training
  • Provide support and guidance to IR Practitioners and HR Managers
  • Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels
  • Conduct recruitment interviews
  • Maintain and improve relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze IR trends and make suitable recommendations

Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Law Degree with specialization in Labour Law
  • 5 – 8 years’ Industrial Relations management experience in a mining environment
