A well-established packaging and manufacturing facility in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking an experienced Shift Setter with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude to join its dynamic production team. This is an exciting opportunity for reliable and technically skilled professionals to support smooth production operations, optimize machine performance, and contribute to the overall efficiency, safety, and quality of the plant. If you have hands-on experience in machine setting, mechanical maintenance, and working in a fast-paced FMCG production environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular machine setup and adjustments to ensure optimal production performance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform troubleshooting as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and replace faulty components to minimize downtime.
- Document all maintenance and operational work performed.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth shift operations.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Electrical aptitude.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an FMCG production environment.
- Exposure to blow moulding is advantageous.
- Setting and/or mechanical experience is essential.
- Ability to work shifts.
- Own transport is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
