Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client from the plastics industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Process Engineer based in Randburg, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all assigned machines are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably according to recommended operating guidelines
  • Ensure that quality product is being produced all the time
  • Ensure the process is optimized to the fullest extent
  • Ensure all raw materials required are available and defect-free before being put into the machine
  • Monitor and report inconsistencies in the above areas for all shifts not worked
  • Should be able to make minor repairs
  • Assist the Production Manager in implementing required training for Machine Operators and Machine Setters
  • Supervise orderliness, cleanliness, and working order of the assigned machines and tools
  • Support production activities
  • Responsible to report any risks identified for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, and Health & Safety Management
  • Ensure housekeeping and general areas facilitates a tidy and neat environment
Requirements:
  • Technical qualification with minimum of 5 years of plastics processing experience
  • Experienced in plastics technology and/or mechanic or electric/electronic system
  • Knowledge of and insight into the Operation of ISBM and its axillary equipment
  • Knowledge of and experience in the processing of ISBM and its axillary equipment
  • Able to work in a team environment and train technical personnel
  • Effectively managing time as a resource, gives balanced attention to appropriate long-term and short-term priorities
  • Must have flexible work availability
  • Able to prioritize, plan and execute duties with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills in the local language and English
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead, guide, and coach mechanical set-up team
