A well-established cold storage facility is looking for a Junior Refrigerator Assistant to join their team in Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual to assist in maintaining cold storage systems, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting overall efficiency and safety within the facility. Responsibilities
- Assist with regular inspections and maintenance of refrigeration units.
- Monitor temperatures and ensure cold storage systems operate efficiently.
- Report faults or issues with refrigeration equipment promptly.
- Support senior technicians with repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Must have a CAT A license.
- Ammonia experience is essential.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration or willingness to learn.
- Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Previous experience in cold storage or refrigeration will be advantageous but not essential.
