A well-established cold storage facility is looking for a Junior Refrigerator Assistant to join their team in Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual to assist in maintaining cold storage systems, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting overall efficiency and safety within the facility. Responsibilities

• Assist with regular inspections and maintenance of refrigeration units.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure cold storage systems operate efficiently.
• Report faults or issues with refrigeration equipment promptly.
• Support senior technicians with repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Must have a CAT A license.
• Ammonia experience is essential.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration or willingness to learn.
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Previous experience in cold storage or refrigeration will be advantageous but not essential.
